One of the most spectacular trips in the Triglav National Park is simply to follow the paved road open from May to October from Kranjska Gora via the Vrsic pass to Bovec, about 50km to the southwest. It is possible to do this by bus between July and September, otherwise take your own car or for the brave – mountain bike.

Most of the major car rental companies can be found at the airport.
Gorenjska Banka, SKB and NLB are all located in Bled town centre. Only Gorenjska banka is open on Saturday morning from 08:00 –11:00. They all close for lunch during the week, usually 12 – 2pm.

Parking at the Lake Shore on Cesta Svobode is limited to 2 hours and there is a fee for here and the other car parks in Bled. Long stay guests in Bled can purchase parking permits for the duration of their stay, on production of proof of residence in Bled, available from the Tourist Association Office in Bled.
Contact the TIC (Tourist Information Centre). There is also a tourist bus to Vintgar Gorge.
There is a hospital located on Presernova Cesta in Bled and a larger hospital in Jesenice, just 20 minutes from Bled.
Merkator is the supermarket chain in Bled. The closest one is just a 10 minute walk from the house on Presernova Cesta in Bled. There is a small car park behind the supermarket - please note it is only open until 4pm on Sundays. There are supermarkets in Lesce, just 5 minutes drive from Bled. After leaving the motorway at the Bled junction there is also a Lidl and Tus for convenience.
