Pr' Mejnik House and Studio Apartment are located within a 10 minute walk of central Bled, the leading Alpine tourist resort in Slovenia. The lake with a church-topped island and the old medieval castle characterise Bled as one of the most beautiful tourist sites in Europe.
Bled is an all year round resort with plenty to do in both Summer and Winter and it is the starting point for many outdoor activities and adventures. Aside from the Lake and mountains, the town has numerous bars, restaurants, shops and even a casino. It is located in the Gorenjska region of Slovenia and is only a 20 minute drive from Ljubljana airport, 45 minutes from central Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, and 45 minutes from Klagenfurt airport in Austria.
So much to see and do
Centrally located in Europe Slovenia is easily accessible as it borders Austria, Croatia, Hungary and Italy. It has a population of just over 2 million people and the official language is Slovene though Italian, Hungarian, English and German are widely spoken. It is the only country with the word love in it. Slovenia joined the European Union on the 1 May 2004 and the official currency is the Euro.

Coastal, Alpine, Vineyards
As a small picturesque country, it makes a great all year round tourist destination combining mountains, lakes, waterfalls, forests, caves, rivers, vineyards and the sea. You can ski in the morning and be relaxing at the coast in the afternoon. Maribor, just two and a half hours from Bled, has the oldest living vine in the world and is a great starting point for exploring the surrounding vineyards.

Relax and rejuvinate
Slovenia is also a famous "wellness destination" with over 15 natural thermal and climatic health resorts. Many of the hotels have on site spa facilities within Bled and are definately worth a visit.
