Slovenia is a wonderful country with lots of natural resources and exciting places to discover.
Ljubljana
Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia, is located in the centre of the country. A university city conscious of the environmental with river and green spaces - beautiful for walking, eating and relaxing. It has one of the best baroque quarters of Europe that blends harmoniously with its Art Noveau buildings and in the first half of the 20th centuary the talent of architect Joze Plecnik created its cosmopolitan image. Population of 276,000 people one fifth of whom are students.
Having a meal or drink in one of the numerous cafes and restaurants along the river bank or in the Old Town is one of the most popular pastimes although there are many other things to do here.

Alpine: Vrsic Pass
One of the most spectacular trips in the Triglav National Park is simply to follow the paved road open from May to October from Kranjska Gora via the Vrsic pass to Bovec, about 50km to the southwest. It is possible to do this by bus between July and September, otherwise take your own car or for the brave – mountain bike.
Coast: Piran
An ancient coastal town with a picturesque old town core and the most original coastal town architecture. Portoroz is the leading resort of the Slovene coast.

Skofja Loka

Kamnik

Kamniska Bistrica
Picturesque river valley reaching deep into the Kamnik Alos with a mountain hut in the middle of a clearing.
Caves
Postojna – miracle of the Karst underworld and the 2nd largest cave system in the world with an electric train taking you through the illuminated halls, past chasms and underground waters.

Venice
Approximately a 4 hour drive from Bled. Alternatively 2 hour drive to Piran and then there is a boat on certain days in the Summer that goes from Piran to Venice.
